Summer Last Academic Year 2023

We started the term learning about people who help us. We thought about people in school who help us then in our local community. We visited our local fire station and had a paramedic visit us at school. We made our own fire engine from recycled materials and learnt about the different parts.

We are learning about Minibeast. We are reading the book 'What the Ladybird Heard' Look at our story map to retell the story. We enjoyed drawing around each other pretending to be Lanky Len and Hefty Hugh. We thought of words to describe the men from the story. Look at our maps of the farmyard from the story. We worked with a partner sharing the pen to draw our maps then followed them around a trail in the big garden. We are making our own bug hotel recycling plastic bottles. In maths we have been going on shape hunts, looking at the teens numbers and matching amounts.
