This Autumn in year 2 we are learning all about our bodies and how to keep ourselves healthy. We found out about our local area and learned about landmarks and map symbols. We had a wonderful visit to Carlisle Cathedral, where we discovered lots about the building and its history. We even made our own versions of stained glass windows!
We have been exploring traditional tales with a twist, making our own versions of them by carefully planning and innovating.
In maths we have been focusing on numbers, including number bonds to 20 and counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. We have also explored new ways to check our own calculations using apparatus or diagrams.
In art we learned about line and the use of colour. In P.E sessions, we have had a great time doing obstacle courses, playing dodgeball and doing archery with Action Ants.
