We have two Year 1 classes. Your teachers are:

This term the children have enjoyed using purple mash to create their own avatar and have started to complete set tasks.

They have studied the artist, Joan Miro. They have created their own pieces inspired by his work. They used shapes and block colours to do this. They commented on the shapes that they recognised within the pictures. 

In geography the children have thought about what a map might be used for. They have learned about an ariel or ‘birds-eye’ view and have had a go a creating their own maps.

In PSHE the children have thought about routines and following rules. 

Within Science, the children have had great fun experimenting and learning about their senses.
