Little Owls (3-4 Years)
Summer Term 1 2026
This term, our topic is ‘Every Living Thing’. The children have been exploring what is growing in our garden and learning how to label the different parts of the plant, supported by Mr Clarke’s fun and engaging song to the tune of Heads, shoulder, knees and toes.
We have planted sunflower seeds and are very excited to see them grow. The children also created some beautiful sunflower paintings inspired by Vincent Van Gough.
We have loved making the most of the lovely sunshine, taking our learning outdoors and enjoying PE sessions with Coach Gemma.
Spring Term 2 2026
This half term, our favourite topic has been ‘People Who Help Us’. The children have loved learning about the different roles people have in helping our community. We were very lucky to welcome a range of visitors into school, including the police, a vet and a paramedic. The children enjoyed exploring real-life equipment, trying on uniforms and even looking inside the vehicles.
Alongside this, we took part in a range of Easter- themed activities. The highlight for many children was our Easter egg hunt in the garden, which was lots of fun and encouraged great teamwork and excitement.
Spring Term 1 2026
This half term, our topic has been ‘It’s Cold Outside’. The children have been exploring the season of winter, learning about what it looks like and how we can keep warm in the colder weather.
We enjoyed reading We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and created a sensory tray to explore the different elements the characters experience on their adventure.
We also learned about Valentine’s Day and took part in activities to celebrate kindness and friendship.
