Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Miss Deborah Boekestein. She takes lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection (including online safety and understanding the filtering and monitoring systems and processes in place).
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) is Miss Catherine Mitchell. She assumes the role of Safeguarding Lead in the absence of the DSL.
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead Admin (DDSL Admin) is Mrs Allison Tapping. She supports the DSL in ensuring that all the administrative systems and processes are in place. She also takes safeguarding calls when DSL/ DDSLs are teaching or unavailable.
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead Attendance (DDSL Attendance) is Mrs Rebecca Hind. She champions attendance and monitors data, patterns and trends. She assumes the role of Safeguarding Lead in the absence of the DSL and DDSL.
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead Wellbeing (DDSL Wellbeing) is Mrs Sophie Mclellan. She provides advice and support to other staff and assumes the role of Safeguarding Lead in the absence of the DSL and DDSL Attendance.
Our Designated Teacher for Cared For or Previously Cared For Children is Miss Gemma Dobie. She takes responsibility for ensuring that school supports the holistic achievement of these children and works with the SENDCo and DDSL Wellbeing to develop Personal Education Plans in partnership with the Virtual School.
Our Safeguarding Governor is Mrs. Sarah Park. She ensures that the policies and procedures are in place for appropriate action to be taken in a timely manner to safeguard and promote children’s welfare.

It is the school’s duty to ensure children are safe from a range of views which are extremist and seek to radicalise them. All staff have undertaken the Channel General Awareness training module.
