Our Vision for Mathematics at Inglewood Infant School

Mathematics at Inglewood is practical and enjoyable, giving our children opportunities to explore and engage with challenging maths in meaningful contexts.

Maths Vision at Inglewood

Mathematics at Inglewood is practical and enjoyable, giving our children opportunities to explore and engage with challenging mathematics in meaningful contexts.

It is important that as a school we listen to the children and their parents and carers to ensure the high-quality learning happening in mathematics is led by the whole school community.

Parents/Carers, Staff and Pupils were asked how they felt mathematics should look in our school...

The Mastery Approach

At Inglewood we teach mastery for all. We believe all children should have the skills needed to understand maths in deep and broad contexts. This is underpinned by the 'five big ideas' of mastery.
